Future West is the creative outlet of Dundalk based multi instrumentalist and producer Francis Watters. He and the band have spent the last 18 months writing and recording under a new line up in their newly built home studio. Their second album Who Will Forgive All My Sins was released August 2022.
The first single to be taken from the album is Late Last Nite, a fresh, enthusiastic burst of energy from a band who have the thirst to take any stage they set foot on by storm. Presenting the live show as a four-piece band and with a speaker full of beats, loops and samples, Future West deliver their own unique style of indie/noise-rock tinged with synth-pop/pulsing dance beats with Watters maintaining relentless honesty in his thought provoking, emotive and witty lyrics.
"This band has tons of character and it all comes shining through on this radio friendly single hitting all the sweet spots."

The band has been going since 2015. Via several changes, both in band lineup and musical direction, 2020 saw the release of Emergency, aided by two production wizards Peter McCoy & Pauric McCrum. Writing fresh material during lockdown Watters realised that he was making full band music more true to how the project was originally intended. The message, the emotion and the vibe were all there. He just needed a band. Peter (guitar) and Pauric (drums) were approached and were made permanent members of the group along with John Mellon on bass. Future West was officially re-booted and played two blinding, energetic sets at the end of 2021 that were met with rave reviews from audience members, friends and family.
“Lyrically, Watters has struck gold. It’d be too easy to dismiss it as simply a stream of consciousness, but read it out loud and it’s pure poetry.”
