Some Remain’s latest single and 'hectic party tune' Death Defying Stunts is new and out now.
Artist: Some Remain
Single: Death Defying Stunts
Release: September 27 2024
Sligo garage punks Some Remain are back with their new single release Death Defying Stunts. That's not rhyming slang.
It's the first taken from an upcoming 5 track EP slated for a digital and vinyl release early 2025.
Not only does it defy death, it pretty much defies description as it takes you on a glorious and wild ride through early UK punk (Read About Seymour - Swell Maps) and surf rock (Miserlou - Dick Dale) with some Dr Feelgood and The Cribs thrown in for good measure. As they say, the song is "... a hectic party tune that leaves you feeling like you've just landed a sick kickflip over a tank of sharks."
The band play Ireland Music Week in Dublin's The Grand Social on Thursday October 3.
Some Remain are from Sligo on the West coast of Ireland and are made up of Jamie (Vocals), Colm (Guitar), Leo (Bass), Matthew (Drums). Previous singles were debut Television, Walk Away, Never Enough, Knuckle Sandwich and Dead Sound. Their recorded output manages to capture the high energy madness of their live shows which are noisy, unpredictable and always great craic.
